The family De Nul starts a joinery in Aalst, Belgium.

1938
Jan Frans Jozef De Nul starts its own civil engineering company.

1951
Jan De Nul executes its very first dredging project for the construction of the highway E40 in Jabbeke, Belgium.

1968
Jan De Nul purchases the Trailing Suction Hopper Dregder Sanderus for its first project abroad in the port of Le Havre, France.

1973
Jan De Nul Group is awarded its first project outside Europe, in Libya.

1991
The first offshore contract is assigned by order of Statoil Norwat in Zeebrugge, Belgium.

1995
Jan De Nul Group signs the 10-year concession for the deepening and maintenance of the Río Paraná and the Río de la Plata.

1996
Environmental expert Envisan joins Jan De Nul Group.

2002-09
Jan De Nul Group executes dredging and reclamation works for the iconic second Palm Island in Dubai.

2007-13
Jan De Nul Group invests considerably in its vessels, expanding the fleet with 47 new ultramodern vessels.

2009-16
Jan De Nul Group is part of the international consortium building two new lock complexes, of 3 jumbo lock chambers each, in the Panama Canal

2012
Environmental expert PSR Brownfield Developers joins Jan De Nul Group.

2014
Jan De Nul Group starts frac sand project in Argentina.

2015
Foundation and piling expert Soetaert joins Jan De Nul Group.

2016
